At what age should I schedule an appointment for an orthodontic screening?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.

How much will braces cost? Are financing options available? How does my insurance work?

The average cost of treatment in our area typically ranges from $4,000 to $6,500, depending on the complexity of treatment.

At your free consultation, we’ll provide a personalized quote based on your needs.
We offer flexible payment plans — you Choose Your Own down payment and monthly amount to fit your budget. Plus, we’ll help you maximize insurance benefits and take care of the paperwork.

Can orthodontic correction occur while a child has baby teeth?

Yes — in some cases, Early Treatment (also called Phase I treatment) is recommended while a child still has baby teeth. This approach can help guide jaw growth, create space for permanent teeth, and address bite issues before they become more complex.

However, not every child needs Early Treatment. At PT Orthodontics, we recommend scheduling a first orthodontic evaluation around age 7. This allows us to identify any concerns early. If no immediate treatment is needed, we’ll simply monitor your child’s development and recommend the right time to begin treatment, if necessary.

Early evaluations help ensure any issues are caught early — and that treatment happens at the best possible time.

Am I a candidate for Invisalign?

In most cases, yes! Thanks to our advanced training and experience, the majority of patients — teens and adults — are great candidates for Invisalign®.
