Common Orthodontic Emergencies
If a bracket comes off, wax can be your best friend – just roll up a little wax and place it on the bracket to keep it from sliding around. If it is not bothering you, leave it alone and just let us know so we can fix it at your next appointment!
Use orthodontic wax to cover the end. If needed, gently push it back with a clean pencil eraser. If that doesn’t help, grab some fingernail clippers and snip the end of the wire as close as possible to the next bracket.
