We appreciate your desire to seek the best possible orthodontic care for you or your child. We pride ourselves on our honesty, our patient respect, and the assurance to provide you the best possible treatment. Here are a few reasons to choose our office for your orthodontic needs:
-
Our doctors are orthodontic specialists.
Our doctors have taken an additional two years of post-graduate work beyond the four years of dental school; specifically for orthodontics. They are orthodontic specialists registered as members of the American Association of Orthodontists and limit their practice specifically to orthodontics.
-
Our doctors are board certified.
Drs. Phillips, Todd and Taylor are board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. The process to become certified requires completion of rigorous additional study and examinations. Only a small percentage of orthodontists in the United States earn this degree of recognized excellence.
-
We have a very high success rate of completing treatment during the estimated treatment time.
The most frequently asked question in any orthodontic practice is, “When am I getting my braces off?” Our treatment mechanics, bracket placement, and an efficient system to monitor treatment progress enable us to complete treatment during the estimated time, with the best possible final results.
-
We speak with parents at each appointment.
Our doctors make a conscious effort at each appointment to speak with every parent, and briefly update them about treatment progress, hygiene, new mechanics, or any changes to the treatment plan. They are committed to keeping parents informed throughout treatment and will always make time to answer any questions.
-
We explain all the options of treatment required to treat a particular case.
We are always interested in presenting the best possible treatment plan for you or your child. We believe that good care begins with honest communication, and promise to speak candidly with you about treatments and services.
-
Only our doctors place braces!
This is the single most important aspect of treatment. The placement of braces is a technically detailed procedure. When done properly, the final orthodontic result is achieved easier and faster. Assistants do not have the training or license to position braces on the teeth.
-
We never re-use brackets!
We do not recycle bands or brackets - ever! Believe it or not, this is a common practice that can save a doctor hundreds of dollars per case. Even though the braces are usually sterilized, we feel this is a disservice as wear and tear on the braces decreases their effectiveness. Patients are not informed of this and they think they are getting new braces. Braces are precision devices which are manufactured and intended for single use only.
-
We routinely take X-rays to monitor your progress during the treatment phase.
During treatment there are changes that may occur and go unnoticed without a radiograph. At our practice we routinely take a panoramic radiograph every 12 months to check for signs of root resorption, root positioning, and the supporting bone around the teeth.
We take great pride in providing you with the very best in orthodontic care. We know you will develop confidence in our office and hope you will feel comfortable in recommending us to your friends and family.
